Father God, thank you for all that You are and for all that You have been to each and every person reading this post. May those who need healing be healed in the name of Jesus. May the broken hearted, grieving and downcast receive Your comfort LORD in the name of Jesus. May the merciful obtain mercy in the name of Jesus. May You LORD strengthen and send Your angels to rescue the persecuted in the name of Jesus. May the joyful grow and increase in joy for in Your presence is the fullness of joy in the name of Jesus. May those who hunger and thirst for righteousness be filled in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Matthew 14:13-14 (NKJV)
"When Jesus heard it, He departed from there by boat to a deserted place by Himself. But when the multitudes heard it, they followed Him on foot from the cities.
And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick."
Amen, thank you LORD.
The above text comes right after Jesus had the received news about the death of John the Baptist. Jesus was clearly grieving and had departed by boat to go to a deserted place by Himself, understandably so. I imagine He wanted to take a moment to process all this tragic news. Fortunately, Jesus' plans did not work out as He was seen by the multitudes who most likely had more pressing needs and with no help. When Jesus saw them, He made a decision to put their needs before His own needs and in that moment, He changed His plans. Jesus felt compassion for the people without help for example, the sick who needed healing. Philippians 2:3-4 (ESV), "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others."
At times, God may require you to step outside of your comfort zone and go help another person who most likely may not have the same level of grace operating on their life like you or in the above example like, Jesus and the multitudes. This does not mean that what you are experiencing is less than or insignificant in God's eyes but I believe as you bear another person's burdens, God in turn ensures to bear your burdens as well. Now this is where heart posture becomes important, because we do not help other people as God's children in order to receive from God. However, it is important to note that God is always able to make His grace available to your needs in the same way He made it abound through you as you minister to the people who need it.
In addition, Jesus is still doing miracles today as He was back then during His earthly ministry. Hebrews 13:8 reminds us that Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday and forever. So receive your healing especially for grief, discouragement and depression for by Jesus' stripes you were healed. Receive God's love for you in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
I'll end with this Word found in Galatians 6:9 (NLT)
"And let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: If you would like to receive Jesus and be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get WATER BAPTIZED!
