Blind sight

Praise be to God for this indescribable gift that He freely given to us through His Son, Jesus. In Christ, we are complete, amen. Thank you LORD God.

John 9:41 (NKJV)

Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, 'We see.' Therefore your sin remains."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Today's post is on blind sight. It sounds like a contradiction for how can you be blind and then see. However, the above Scripture, Jesus is in effect saying, the recognition of one's spiritual blindness is the pathway to receiving spiritual sight. An exchange happens where the Light that is Jesus (John 1:4) takes away your blindness. Psalm 36:5 (AMPC) continues to say, "For with You is the fountain of life [the fountain of life-giving water]; in Your light we see light." Hence, the cure to this spiritual blindness is the knowledge of God's goodness as a Father expressed in His Son, Christ.

When satan came to tempt Eve in the garden of Eden, Genesis 3:7 says, Adam and the woman's eyes were 'opened' after they disobeyed God by eating fruit of the knowledge of good and evil. The 'opening' of Adam and Eve's eyes through the enemy's deception led to spiritual blindness which was passed down to all of mankind. In today's lead Scripture, Jesus speaks to the Pharisees and the religious leaders who claimed to have physical sight but were spiritually blind so their sin remained (John 9:41).

The good news today is there is hope and God does not care about your works of goodness or past mistakes. He is interested in an open heart that recognizes it's blindness and is in need of a Saviour who is the Son of God in whom there is redemption of sight which is the forgiveness of sins and eternal life, wholeness and healing.

I'll end with this Word found in 1 John 3:8-9(NKJV)

  1. "He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil."

  2. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to receive Jesus and be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get WATER BAPTIZED!
