Father God, thank you that the entrance of Your word brings light and the Light is shinning upon our lives for we are the city set on a hill that cannot be hidden in the name of Jesus, Amen. Glory to God.
1 John 3:1 (NKJV)
"Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world did not know us, because it did not know Him."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Yesterday, I shared an account of a woman in the gospels who was identified by the public not by her name but by her sin, that is the sinful woman. Thankfully, God always calls us by name (Isaiah 43:1), not by our past mistakes, wrongs or failures.
When you become a child of God, that is born again by the water and the spirit (John 3:5), you are no longer a sinner but a saint and a child of God.
Today's lead Scripture is a reminder that as child of God, there is no longer self. Galatians 2:20 reminds us, the life that you now live in the flesh, you live by the faith of God's Son, Christ. So when the enemy makes you look at your past mistakes, sin or failure, he is making you look at him and everything that the blood of Jesus Christ has cleansed you from.
As a child of God, the Holy Spirit encourages us to habitually look to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith in Hebrews 12:2. This is because Jesus is your life and your true identity.
One of the best ways to live in Christ as shared in Galatians 2:20 is by edifying your spirit man, listening to the Word of God and reading the Word of God. Jesus in John 6:51 (NKJV) says, "I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world."
In addition, as a child of God, in Christ is where your true inheritance and every good thing that God has prepared for you is kept. 2 Peter 1:3-4 (NKJV) says, "as his divine power has given to you all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." - Amen, thank you LORD.
Let's pray: Father, thank you for the blessing of being a part of a new and better covenant where I live my life in Christ and His finished works of the cross. So I fix my eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith, the Bread of Life, the One who causes me to triumph and in whom there is every victory in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
I'll end with this Word found in Isaiah 43:1 (NKJV)
"But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, and He formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; You are Mine."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: The above blessings and inheritance are for children of God. If you would like to be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get water baptized!
