Heart posture

Father God, thank you for the gift of You and for sending the gift of Your beloved Jesus. May we receive of all the fullness You have prepared for us LORD here in the land of the living in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Today's lead Word is from 2 Peter 1:2-4 (NKJV)

2. "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

3. As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,

4. by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you maybe partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Today's sharing is based on heart posture as children of God. When you become born again, into God's kingdom, everything about your life is now God's business. John 1:13 says, "who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." You are born of God and in God's Kingdom, God's grace has qualified you to be given all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Basically, as son or daughter who belongs to the Father's Kingdom, all things are made ready for you. Jesus shared a parable with us and likened the kingdom of heaven to a certain king who arranged a marriage for his son (Matthew 22:2). This king then sent out his servants saying, "Tell those who are invited, "See, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and fatted cattle are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the wedding." (Matthew 22:4).

God does not begin setting the table and getting things ready when you receive Christ. Let's imagine, you receive a wedding invite to attend a wedding as a guest. As guest, do you ever figure out what you will eat at the wedding? Or whether you will pay for the food and drinks? Or who will do the cleaning at the wedding venue? I'm sure we can agree that these details belong to the wedding planning committee not the guests. In God's kingdom, you are the guest and the God, the LORD Jesus, the Holy Spirit, God's angels are the planning committee. As guest, your job is to receive the invitation, show up for the wedding dressed in the LORD's garment of righteousness and enjoy the ceremony. Salvation is an invitation to a feast to the many good things that God has prepared for His children through His Son, Jesus. At this feast there is redemption, righteousness, favor, wholeness, healing, prosperity, protection, joy, peace, deliverance, rest and every other blessing and promise that God has given to us in Christ Jesus.

As a result, the heart posture of God's children is to receive with thanksgiving of all that God has freely given to us in Christ Jesus. Child of God, you are not Your own, you belong to a Faithful Father who cares about everything that concerns your life. God cares about you so deeply that He took the time to go ahead of you and prepare everything You would ever need even before you recognized you had those needs. Be comforted, it is well.

Prayer: Abba Father, thank you that we have been born of God and all that concerns us is in your hands. Thank you Father for the table that You have set before us and we receive all things that You have prepared concerning our lives when it comes to life and godliness in the name of Jesus. Thank you LORD that every lie of the enemy to cause Your sons and daughters to strive to get what has already been freely given and provided by Your grace to them is broken off of their the lives in the name of Jesus. Thank you LORD for Your sons and daughters are free for he who the Son sets free is free indeed. Thank you LORD that today, we have received your invitation and we are showing up at the wedding with Your robe of righteousness and enjoying with thanksgiving of all that you have prepared for us in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to receive Jesus and be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
