James, chapter 2

Father God, thank you for Your Word. May we walk in the revelation of this Word as doers and not only hearers in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

James 2:1 (NKJV)

"My brethren, do not hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality."

Amen thank you Lord.

In today's lead Word, the Word is reminding us to treat each other equally and without partiality especially our brothers and sisters in the faith. James, chapter 1 ends with the LORD suggesting to us the meaning of pure and undefiled religion which is visiting orphans and widows in their trouble (James 1:27). Now, as a child of God who is a believer, it is important we align our actions to God's Word. For instance, James speaks of a brother or a sister who is destitute of food and naked (James 2:15). The instruction of the LORD is to provide and meet their needs for this is an accurate demonstration of faith with works and a reminder to those with the need that God knows them and still loves them. You have been blessed to be a blessing.

I'll end with the Word found in Acts 20:35 (NKJV)

"I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you must support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive."

Amen, thank you LORD.
