James, chapter 2 - Part 3

Praise be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places because we are united with Christ Jesus. We give you all the glory and praise, the Alpha and the Omega, the Ancient of Days, the First and the Last, the Only true God who has loved us with an everlasting love. May Your name and love be magnified over all the ends of the earth in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Today's lead Word is from James 2:13 (NKJV)

"For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment."

The Word above is reminding us of a principle that a person will always reap what they will sow. To the person who has shown mercy to another, will reap mercy in their own lives as well and the opposite is true. The seeds a person sows of peace, kindness, hospitality, giving, or be it strife, divisiveness, etc will have a ripple effect in your life, the relationships you have with people and in your relationship with God. Genesis 6:22 (NKJV) confirms the principle of sowing and reaping and the LORD says, "While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer and day and night shall not cease."

Thankfully, God does not desire for His people to be deceived in this area so He shows us a way to discern the wisdom that is from God and also supplied the grace to walk in this wisdom to every child of God. James 3:17 (NKJV) says, "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy."

Prayer: Thank you Father for Your grace and the power of the Holy Spirit that is enabling every child of God to live according to Your wisdom that is pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and hypocrisy first in relationship with You and each other in the name of Jesus, Amen. Glory to God.

I'll end with the Word of the LORD in Psalm 18:24-26 (NKJV)

24. "Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His sight.

25. With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with a blamesless man You will show Yourself blameless;

26. With the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd."

Amen, thank you LORD.
