This is the day that the LORD has made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

John 14:26 (NKJV)

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I have said to you."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Jesus in John chapter 14 is introducing us to fellowship which is communion that a child of God has with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Today's lead verse is a reminder that every word of God is truth and the Holy Spirit is the Person that Jesus left us with who would teach and lead us into all truth. As I shared earlier, truth is found in the Bible and the Holy Spirit only bears witness with truth.

As you read your Bible, it is important to say a prayer and invite the Holy Spirit, to give you understanding as You read the Word of God. A prayer can be something as simple as, "Holy Spirit, I invite you to open the eyes of my understanding as I read the Word in the name of Jesus." As you do this, the Holy Spirit, will help you to understand the Scriptures and bring to remembrance any truths that You may need to know thereby enriching your fellowship with the Father God and the Son, Jesus Christ.

In addition to reading the Word, the Holy Spirit is there to guide you into all truth as you live your everyday life. Take for instance, you need to make an urgent decision and you need help to decide. A wise decision would be to first take everything to God in prayer before making a move. Romans 8:26-27 shares the Holy Spirit intercedes for us in the place of prayer with God asking God to help meet every need both known and unknown to you. Receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gift of praying in an unknown tongue also equips you for the calling and purpose that God has prepared for you as His workmanship in Christ (Ephesians 2:10).

Jude 20-21 (NKJV) encourages us, "But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life."

Our human understanding and vocabulary is limited in expression and this is where the gift of speaking and praying in tongues becomes important in the life of a believer. When we accustom our spirits to pray in tongues, we always pray according to God's will and He as well makes His will known to us. In addition, our discernment grows thereby making us yield to the ways of the Holy Spirit as opposed to our own desires enabling us to receive God's love, mercy and grace. As a believer, God has freely given all His children this spiritual gift of tongues. In case, you are unable to speak in tongues, I would you encourage you to read and listen to more teachings of God's Word on this subject of speaking on tongues in order to build up your faith and knowledge in this area. As you do this,  you are telling God that you are open to letting Him have access to your life thereby receiving the Help of the Holy Spirit who will show and lead you into all truth. An invitation of God into your life is important because the Holy Spirit will come only where He is invited. Thankfully, God is always ready and willing to be a part of every detail of your life as His child when you allow Him.

I'll end with Jesus' Word found in John 3:20-21 (NKJV)

  1. "For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

  2. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen that they have been done in God."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: The greatest gift that God gave the world will always be His Son, Jesus. If you would like to receive eternal life and have personal relationship with God through His Beloved Son, Jesus. I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get WATER BAPTIZED!

Prayer: Father God, thank you that I am born of God. As your child whose sins have been forgiven and redeemed with the precious blood of Jesus Christ, You have blessed with this gift of praying and speaking in tongues. Thank you that I do not have to do this alone so I invite you to give me understanding in this gift of speaking and praying in tongues. I yield my heart to your understanding instead of my understanding as I receive this gift in my life for every good gift and every perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights of whom there is no shadow or variation of turning in the name of Jesus, amen. Thank you LORD.

If you have not already, I encourage you to read chapters 1-14 of John's Gospel! GOD BLESS YOU
