Heavenly Father, thank you for this is the day that You have made and we are glad and rejoice in it. Thank you LORD for the blessing of The Word. May Your grace and peace be multiplied unto our lives in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Leviticus 6:9 (NKJV)

"Command Aaron and his sons, saying, 'This is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering shall be on the hearth upon the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it."

Amen, thank you LORD.

In this chapter, we see the laws regarding the sin offering, grain offering and the burnt offering. The law in this case means the legal requirements the priests (Aaron and his sons) had to perform to ensure that the sins of the people were cleansed. In today's lead Word, there is a requirement for the burnt offering to specifically have an altar whose fire is never put out. The priest has the responsibility to keep the fire on this altar burning. Leviticus 6:13 (NKJV) says, "A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out." This altar was a physical place where the sacrifices of the people were offered before the LORD.

Under the new covenant, Jesus Christ brought to our attention a new altar, which is the heart. Romans 10:10 (NKJV) says, "For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." In the book of Acts is a story of an evangelist called Philip whom God sent to an Ethiopian eunuch who needed help with understanding the Scriptures. Philip explained the Scriptures to him and as his chariot approached some waters, he wanted to get baptized (Acts 8:36). However, Philip said to him, "If you believe with all of your heart, you may." And he answered and said, "I believe that Jesus is the Son of God." (Acts 8:37 NKJV).

Where people had to offer as sacrifices on altars to draw closer to God, today God says in Proverbs 23:26 (NKJV), "O my son, give me your heart. May your eyes take delight in following my ways."

I'll end with this Word found in Ephesians 2:8-10 (NKJV)

  1.  "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

  2. not of works, lest anyone should boast.

  3. For we are His workmanship which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: Jesus Christ in John 14:6 (NKJV) says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." If you would like to be born again, please say this confession with me:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins and by His stripes I was healed. I repent of my past sins and receive Christ today by becoming a part of the Kingdom of light where I choose personal relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get WATER BAPTIZED!

Prayer: Father God, thank you that with our hearts we believe unto righteousness which is right standing with you because of what Jesus has done for us when He died for our sins and is now risen in glory. The Son of God is lifted high! Thank you Father that by Your grace we stand and by Your grace and power our lives are kept. Thank you for Your grace that enables us to guard our hearts from every issue of life in the name of Jesus. Thank you for the altar of our heart that worships You LORD. As Your workmanship, may our hearts always be aligned with Your heart and burning with a fire of the reverential fear of You LORD God in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
