Father God, thank you for this Word. Thank you that the entrance of Your Word gives understanding. Thank you that we are hearers and doers of Your Word in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

John 12:46-47 (NKJV)

  1. "I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.

  2. And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world."

When shepherds are leading sheep, they may lead the sheep from a distance during the daylight and the sheep always follow the shepherds. However, when it is night time, the shepherd does not lead the sheep from the front, he moves closer to them, in the center of them so that they can see and feel his presence because the sheep are afraid of the dark. So is God with His children, His presence is closest to you when you are going through a tough time or difficult season. Psalm 23:4 says, "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." Do you notice that you are not in the actual valley of death but its shadow? When you lean on Jesus as your Good Shepherd, He bears the burden of every heavy season and safely leads you through this shadow of death. Friend, God's presence is always near and close to you and His compassion will not abandon you at your deepest point of need.

The LORD Jesus is not only a Good Shepherd but He is also a Light through every season. In the new Testament, Jesus reminds us that whoever believes in Him will not abide in darkness (John 12:46) for they will receive of His Light. Christ is the source of Light. As a carrier of Jesus' light, you have a responsibility and therein lies your purpose. The world is dark and it is relying on the light that you, child of God, have received from Jesus to make it a better place so shine your light. Jesus says in Matthew 5:16 (NKJV), "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." - AMEN.

I'll end with this Word found in Psalm 103:1-5 (NKJV)

  1. "Bless the LORD, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless the His holy name!

  2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:

  3. who forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases,

  4. who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

  5. who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagles."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to receive Jesus and be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get WATER BAPTIZED!
