Father, thank you for Your Word. Thank you for in Your boundless mercy, love and grace which we come to receive boldly from Your throne in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
In the gospel of Luke is an account of a woman who known as a sinner in the city (Luke 7:37). This woman found out about Jesus' whereabouts, came and washed His feet with her tears and wiped them with hair of her head (Luke 7:44). She then proceeded to anoint Jesus' feet with the fragrant expensive oil she had bought. The Pharisee who had invited Jesus to his house for dinner was judgmental and said to himself, "...This Man, if He were a prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching Him, for she is a sinner." (Luke 7:39 NKJV).
The people in the city clearly judged this woman as well for they identified her by the sin she did and not by her name but Jesus righteously judged this woman based on what was in her heart. In Mark 7:6, Jesus spoke of the people who honoured Him with their lips but their hearts were far from Him and He continued to say that they lay aside the commandment of God to hold the traditions of men (Mark 7:8).
This story is a reminder that people may misjudge your actions on the outside but God who knows the hearts of man will always consider your heart posture. This woman never said one word about sin but through her actions towards Jesus, we see her repentance and thankfulness for Jesus' heart of mercy that restores her to relationship with God. To confirm this restoration to favour with God, Jesus then tells her "...Yours sins are forgiven." (Luke 7:48). Jesus also also tells her, "Your faith has saved you. Go in peace." Jesus' relates these woman's actions to faith, that even despite being publically known as the sinful woman, she still did not hesitate to go before Jesus and fall down at His feet for mercy. Friend, God is faithful and His mercy for you is abundant. There is no sin, mistake and wrong that the blood of Jesus Christ cannot cleanse and wash clean. AMEN
If you would like to receive Jesus' into your heart and to save you from every sin, please say this confession below,
Invitation to salvation: On that note, if you would like to be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get water baptized!
I'll end with this Word found in 2 Corinthians 5:16-19 (AMP)
"So from now on we regard no one from a human point of view [according to worldly standards and values]. Though we have known Christ from a human point of view, now we no longer know Him in this way.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], he is a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]."
But all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ [making us acceptable to Him] and gave us the ministry of reconciliation [so that by our example we might bring others to Him],
that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people's sins against them [but canceling them]. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with God]."
Amen, thank you LORD.
