Worthy Saviour

Praise the LORD family. We have been taking a journey in the book of Leviticus. After a few observations, I thought it best to build our faith on a few foundational truths about salvation. In yesterday's post, I shared on salvation and how it unfolds God's plan to rescue, deliver, save, preserve, protect and give wholeness in every area of a person's life.

Salvation is an act of love. When I consider God's first expression of love, I think of the creation story in the book of Genesis. God created everything, made it beautiful and then put man in the garden. Adam came to a garden that had all things made ready and prepared for him. There was no striving but simply abiding in the presence of God and taking care of all that God had entrusted him with. After sin came into the world (Genesis 3), alot changed. Adam and his wife Eve were not expelled from the garden of Eden and now where there was grace and ease, they had to work with struggle and toil to keep that which had been given to them.

Despite all this, God's plan to save man never changed and at the right time, God sent Jesus. Jesus is the epitome of God's love. Like there is love and there is Jesus who is the evidence of God's love. If God said He loved us and never sent Jesus who came to earth and lived a human life, understood what it meant to be human, to live and undergo temptations from the enemy and still not sin, we would have some doubts on whether God really loved the world. But love is an action word and God sent Jesus, His Son whom He loves, so that He could die for our sins, be raised from the dead in order to forgive our sins, give eternal life and a personal relationship with God to all who believe in His name.

Do you know anyone who would willingly give the life of their child for you? - Personally, I don't and I'm sure you don't as well. Jesus died for us before we ever knew or even considered getting to know Him. Jesus did not wait for us to become perfect. Jesus did not wait for the world to know Him from heaven and then at the end of ages and present Himself. But no, He came down and lived this life. This is what makes Him a faithful High Priest we can trust because He can relate with every single joy, disappointment, pain, worry, fear, loss, grief or hurt that you may be experiencing since He knows what it means to be human (Hebrews 4:15-16).

I'll end with the LORD's Word found in Isaiah 49:14-16 (TPT)

14. "But Zion has said, "YAHWEH has forsaken me. My Lord has forgotten me - I'm all alone.

15. YAHWEH responds, "But how could a loving mother forget her nursing child and not deeply love the one she bore? Even if there is a mother who forgets her child, I could never, no never, forget you.

16. Can't you see? I have carved your name on the palms of my hands! Your walls are always my concern."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Prayer: Father God, thank you that for anyone who may feel forsaken or forgotten by You, thank you that today that lie is broken in the name of Jesus. Thank you YAHWEH that you are reminding them that they are known, loved and their names written on the palm of Your hands. Thank you LORD, that every detail of their lives is secure and with Your outstretched arm You have delivered them from everything that is contrary to the plans and purpose You have concenring their lives through the salvation of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly and above all that we could ask, think or imagine according to His power at work in us, to Him be all the glory in the church in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Invitation to salvation: The best gift that Jesus gave us is receiving salvation and eternal life which is a personal relationship knowing God as our Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.
