LORD Jesus, may You open the eyes of our understanding to awaken us to bear fruit in our true calling not by might, not by power but by the Spirit of the LORD in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

John 15:2 (NKJV)

"Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Jesus is continuing a conversation with His disciples from John chapter, 14 where we looked at fellowship between the child of God and God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. When you look at a tree, they are many components about a tree that is, the branch, fruit, stem, roots, etc. But I want us to focus on the branches of a tree. Usually roots and branches are connected because the root supports the branches through the stem of the tree. Basically, to be able to have a branch, one can argue that you need the roots. In trees, the roots are responsible for carrying the water to the branches through the xylem enabling plant growth. Now, stay with me.

Jesus Christ is known as the Root of Jesse and He is also known as the Branch that will bear fruit (Isaiah 11:1) Zechariah 6:12 takes it a step further and refers to Jesus as the One whose name is Branch. You, child of God are in Christ, the Branch, the One who bears fruit. As a believer, you have been given this power to bear fruit by the Spirit of the LORD for greater is He who is in You than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The LORD in Isaiah 58:11 describes you as a garden and says, you shall be like a watered garden and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail because you child of God are a branch in the Branch, Christ who is also the Root of Jesse. Isaiah 53:2 refers to Jesus as a tender plant, a root that grew out of dry ground. Everything that Jesus is, you are in this world (1 John 4:17). So where there was sorrow, Jesus is your joy. Where there was darkness, Jesus is your Light. Where there was discouragement, Jesus is your comfort. Where there was drought, Jesus is the water of life. Where there was no hope, Jesus is your hope. Where there was scarcity and lack, Jesus is your Provider and abundance. Where there was anxiety, Jesus is your peace. Where there was grief, Jesus is your joy and gladness. Where there was oppression, Jesus is your freedom. Where there was fear, Jesus is the perfect love that casts away fear. Where there was weakness, Jesus is your strength. Where there was barreness, Jesus is the Branch that enables your fruitfulness. Where there was sickness, Jesus' stripes are your healing. Where there was loss and destruction, Jesus is your restorer. Where there was disobedience, Jesus is your obedience. Where there was sin, Jesus is the your righteousness. Where there was death, Jesus is the life-giving Spirit as seen in 1 Corinthians 15:45.

Isaiah 12:10 (NKJV) says;

And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to the people; for the Gentiles shall seek Him, and His resting place shall be glorious.

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: The greatest gift that God gave the world will always be His Son, Jesus. If you would like to receive eternal life and have personal relationship with God through His Beloved Son, Jesus. I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get WATER BAPTIZED!

If you have not already, I encourage you to read chapters 1-15 of John's Gospel! GOD BLESS YOU
