Praise the LORD family for this beautiful day. Father God, we thank you for all that You are and for Your love that sent Jesus Christ, Your Beloved, who has redeemed and washed us from our sins with His own blood, hallelujah. We give Him all the glory and praise, Amen.

John 4:23 (NKJV)

"But the hour is coming, and now is, when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him."

Amen, thank you LORD.

It seems rather difficult to move on from chapter 4 because the Word of God is so rich and inexhaustible from a human standpoint. This chapter is important because we see Jesus introducing the new way of worshipping God today which is in Spirit and in truth. In the book of Leviticus, we saw how God's people worshipped Him through their offerings and obedience to the law and commandments of the LORD given through Moses, who was a mediator between God and His people. Where God's people had to observe the law and ordinances in order to worship God, Jesus is telling us there that if you hear and believe in His name regardless of whether you are Jew or non Jew, you will receive eternal life and the promised gift which He left for His church that is the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38). One of the primary function of the Person of the Holy Spirit as Helper is to bring to remembrance truth that Jesus Christ shared with His people (John 14:26). This portrays to us that the Holy Spirit cannot work without the Word of God for truth is found in God's Word and the Word of God is Christ (John 1:1).

2 Peter 1:4 presents the hope and the power of the Word of God in your life as a child of God. That when you behold the Word of God, you are in turn beholding the truth of Jesus and worshipping the Father in spirit and in truth. This is because the Word contains the divine promises that enable a child of God to be a partaker of the divine nature having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Peter 1:4). Simply put, the promises found in the Word of God combined with the power of God through the Spirit of the Lord enables you to access your inheritance as a child of God and to worship God with your body, the decisions you make and every area of your life. For you "who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time." (1 Peter 1:5 NKJV).

I'll end with this Word found in Hebrews 12:22-24 (NKJV)

  1. "But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels,

  2. to the general assembly and church of the first born who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,

  3. to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to receive Jesus and be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get WATER BAPTIZED!

If you have not already, please read chapters 1-4 of John's Gospel! GOD BLESS YOU.
