Father, thank you for this is the day that You have made and we are glad and rejoice in it in the name of Jesus. Thank you for opening up the eyes of our understanding as this Word goes forth in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Psalm 84:11 (NKJV)
"For the LORD God is a sun and a shield; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Romans 8:32 reminds us, "He did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with him also freely give us all things?" God never gives us what we deserve rather in His abundance of love, He blesses and gives us more than we deserve. In Ephesians 3:20 says, NKJV, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us."
Jesus is the perfect example of a gift from God we received and did not deserve. He died for our sins while we still sinners (Romans 5:8). His love for mankind was settled before we decided or considered repentance in our hearts. So when God says, if He could give you Jesus, who is the perfect love gift when you least expected him to, how will He not exceed your expectations as well with everything that You are believing Him for?
The word love in Hebrew means 'Ahavah' and in a nutshell, this love is expressed based on what you can give to a person as opposed to what you can get from a person. So what does this mean? When God was giving His Son Jesus to the world (John 3:16), He had you and I in mind as the subject of His love. In case you are wondering, God's love is about you more than it is about Him. So Jesus becomes the evidence or the action who proves that God loves us. This is the reason God can tell you that He will be a sun and a shield concerning you, that He will give you grace and glory and you can trust that He will do what He says. If God did not withhold Jesus, then no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly as seen above in Psalm 84:11.
My prayer for you and I is may we grow and lean into receiving God's love on a deeper level in the name of Jesus. As you lean into His love, you will in turn get to personally know the enormous love God has for you that is revealed in His Son, Christ.
Without Jesus, one cannot fully know the true meaning of love. Jesus in John 17:3 (NKJV) says, "And this is eternal life that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."
Invitation to salvation: On that note, if you would like to be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
