Citizen of heaven

Praise be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places because we are united with Christ Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Hebrews 11:16 (NKJV)

"But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Is it not amazing that God has prepared a heavenly country and a city for His children. God does not first wait for His children to get to heaven and start making preparations but He prepares it for those who desire and are hungry for His Kingdom more than what they see and experience in their physical reality.

Hebrews 11:13 says, these faith filled people confess that they are pilgrims on the earth and as a result, God is not ashamed to be called their God as seen in the above Word. What a loving Father, amen.

Thankfully, you also do not have to wait to get to heaven to experience the goodness of God here on earth. I always say if God knew that we would need salvation in heaven, then He would not have sent His Son, Jesus to die for the sins of the world. Instead, Jesus would have everyone line up in heaven but that is not the case. God sent Jesus who with His own blood purchased for us an eternal redemption where we are reconciled in personal relationship with God where He now becomes our Father. Hebrews 7:19 says, "for the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God." This better hope that draws us near to God is found in Christ. Ephesians 2:13 puts it well and says, "But in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ." Jesus is the reason all of creation is able to experience God's goodness and love found here on earth. Ephesians 1:3 says, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."

Your blessings are found in the heavenly places but they are unveiled and unlocked in Christ's salvation that you receive by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). So my next question is have you received God's salvation that is found in His Son, Jesus? - Because with the eternal redemption found in Christ's precious blood is where the eternal inheritance that God has prepared for you is found, Amen.

I'll end with this Word found in Psalm 23:6 (NKJV)

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."

Psalm 25:8-10 (NKJV)

8. "Good and upright is the LORD; therefore He teaches sinners in the way.

9. The humble He guides in justice, and the humble He teaches His way.

10. All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies."

Amen, thank you LORD.
