Everlasting love

Father God, You have many great names full of Your Majesty and yet of all Your names, Father is the the One You have chosen to be known by through Your One and Only Son, Jesus. To call you Father is personal, gentle, humbling and yet powerful. Thank you Abba that You, Possessor of heaven and earth chose us as Your sons and daughters. We could have been anything else but You chose to be our Father, what love, acceptance, redemption, peace, righteousness, joy and favor we have found and received in You through the risen Lord Christ. As we read today's Word, we ask that You make the Word personal to us, may Your love abide in our hearts as You give us understanding in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Jeremiah 31:3 (NKJV)

"The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: "Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you."

Amen, thank you LORD.

The LORD says to you and I that I have loved you with an everlasting love and with lovingkindness, He has drawn us, amen. Now, it is one thing to love, but to be loved with an everlasting love, now that means something way higher and deeper that I'm also currently wrapping my head around. God is reminding you and I that nothing can make Him unlove us because His heart is set to loving His people till the end of the ages. The love of God is not only unchanging, abundant, merciful, compassionate, kind, patient and long-suffering but it also gives us things we do not deserve.

The relationship between a parent child is a beautiful mirror of God's love but even then, the love that God has for His children will always be more superior to any form of human love.

In the book of Genesis, the LORD asks Abraham, our father of faith to sacrifice Isaac, his son on the altar. Isaac was a child of promise and God had promised to bless all the nations of the earth through Isaac. Abraham obeyed God concerning what He had shared about him with Isaac. In this story, there's a focus on Abraham's faith when it came to laying Isaac down on the altar both physically and in his heart. At the same time, God was a Father to Abraham just like He was to Isaac and Abraham's faith was an understanding of this love. When Isaac asked him, "...Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering? And Abraham said, "My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering." (Genesis 22:7-8). I believe Abraham spoke according to the revelation he had of the Father God in his heart. He trusted God more than he trusted the promise and indeed God in His love proved Himself faithful.

Prayer: Abba Father, we lean into Your everlasting love and goodness concerning our lives and we thank you that the name of the LORD is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and they are saved. Keep us in Your love Father. We also ask that You give us more revelation about your everlasting love and lovingkindness concerning us and may we always abide in it in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

I'll end with this Word found in Numbers 23:19-20 (NKJV)

19. "God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

20. Behold, I have received a command to bless; He has blessed, and I cannot reverse it."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: On that note, if you would like to be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
