Abba Father, thank you for this beautiful day. This is the day of salvation. This is the day of hope. This is the day of breakthrough. This is the day of turnaround. This is the day of redemption. This is the day of restoration. This is the day of healing. This is day of prosperity and good success. This is the day of Your goodness and mercy. This is the day of Your lovingkindness. This is the day of the LORD's righteousness. This is the day of repentance. This is the day of hope. This is the day of victory and celebration. This is the day of deliverance. This is the day of the glory of the LORD risen upon you child of God. This is the day of the LORD's joy. This is the day of the LORD's peace. This is the day of the LORD's help. Today, is the day of the LORD's comfort. This is the day that the LORD has made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. Amen.

The first place in the Bible where we see help is in the creation story. When God created Adam, He gave him responsibility and purpose but at the same time, God said in Genesis 2:18 NKJV, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." Even though God had always prepared the Woman (Genesis 1:27), God did not initially bring woman to Adam when he first created him. Adam had to first recognize his need for a comparable or specific helper in order to fulfill God's purpose on his life. As soon as Adam recognized his need for a helper, that is, "...But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him." (Genesis 2:20). God created woman from Adam's rib and when he saw her, he recognized her and said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man." (Genesis 2:22-23).

This story shows us how God always desires to help us and His help is readily available. That is, before you recongize your need for help, God already prepared the solution. However, God will never impose His will anyone. True love (specifically God's love) does not manipulate, impose, guilt trip you or coerce you into a decision. 2 Corinthians 3:17 reminds us of the liberty found in God's love and it says, "Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty."

Outside of the marriage story, we also see all through the Bible both in the old and new testament, that God is referred to as the Help of His people. There is no help that is comparable to the help of the LORD, God of Israel and the LORD says in Isaiah 43:13 says, "Indeed before the day was, I am He; and there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it."

At the same time, in order to receive God's help, you have to recognize your need for His help and intervention in that situation just like Adam did.

Psalm 51:17 NLT shares God's heart and says, "The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart O God." God will never turn one away who comes seeking Him from a place of pure repentance from the heart.

For instance in Exodus 18:2, one of Moses' sons was called, "...Eliezer, (for he said, "The God of my father was my help, and delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh)."

We also see the LORD give a guarantee of His help in Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV) "Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand."

God also adds another promise that comes as a result of His help. He continues to say in Isaiah 41:11-13 (NKJV),

"11.Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing and those who strive with you shall perish.

12.You shall seek them and not find them- those who contended with you. Those who war against you shall be as nothing, as a nonexistent thing.

13.For, I, the LORD your God, will uphold your right hand, saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.'

Child of God, I may not know the full details of your situation but God is faithful. God is saying He will help you with His righteous right hand, be comforted and wait on Him in expectation and fully trusting in His goodness. God keeps His Word for He is not a man that He lies (Numbers 23:19). In the new Testament, we also see that after Jesus' ascension to heaven, He left us with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is also known as The Comforter and our Helper. The Holy Spirit is also known as the Person who guides us into all truth. God wanted to make sure that we would always have an assurance of His presence in our lives through the Person of the Holy Spirit (John 14:17). Jesus in John 14:18 re-assures you of His help and says, "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you." Friend, God helps you but more than anything He desires for you to remember that He yearns to willingly help you with all of His mighty power and resources so be encouraged. When challenges present themselves to be stubborn, God is an ever present help in times of need (Psalm 46:1). He is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. AMEN.

Prayer: Abba Father, thank you that You are a good Father and all the promises in You are yes and amen. Thank you for the blessing we have in calling and trusting on the LORD, God of Israel who is unmatched in power and glory. May You continue to strengthen each son and daughter who is waiting on You with Your patience in the name of Jesus. LORD, replace discouragement with encouragement in the name of Jesus. For the person burdened by sin, I declare over you that your sins are forgiven in the name of Jesus. LORD replace overwhelm with a peace that surpasses understanding in the name of Jesus. LORD, replace weakness with a strength in the inner man and a hunger for Your Word in the name of Jesus. LORD, replace grief and loss with a comforted heart in the name of Jesus. LORD, replace regret with Your mercy in the name of Jesus. LORD, replace sadness and depression with inexpressible love and overflowing joy in the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. Replace anxiety with a gentleness and peace that surpasses understanding. Replace prayerlessness with a special grace and hunger for Your Word, seeking Your Kingdom and it's righteousness in the name of Jesus. Thank you Father for always being an ever present help in time of need. AMEN.

Invitation to salvation: When you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour of your life, you also receive the comfort and the Help of the Holy Spirit. If this sounds like you, I invite you to believe with your heart and confess with your mouth the words below;

"I believe with my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to die for my sins. Today, I receive Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of my life who has delivered me from every power of darkness into the Kingdom of God's love. I am now a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am free and whole. My past trespasses and all my sins are forgiven by my Father God. And every disease and iniquity is healed by Jesus' stripes. AMEN."

I'll end with this word found in Malachi 3:16-18 (NKJV)

16."Then those who feared the LORD spoke to one another, and the LORD listened and heard them; so a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who meditate on His name.

17.They shall be Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him."

18.Then you shall again discern between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve Him."

Amen, thank you LORD.
