Praise be to God for His love and faithfulness. Praise be to God for His mercy endures forever in the name of Jesus, Amen. Glory to God.
Today's lead Word is from Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)
"For without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him."
Amen, thank you LORD.
I believe the faithfulness of God is too great and too deep a subject that one cannot fully comprehend with human understanding. In the gospel of Luke 17:11-19 is a story of ten lepers who came to Jesus asking of His mercy. Jesus said to them in Luke 17:14 NKJV, "...Go show yourselves to the priests," And as they went, they were cleansed." In case, you are wondering, in the Old Testament, everyone who was healed of leprosy would have to first be examined by the priest before they could be declared free from the sickness. So in this case, Jesus did not tell them they were healed but He gave the lepers an instruction that was evidence of their healing. Sometimes, the instruction given to you by the LORD is the evidence that You have been healed, it is the evidence that you have been set free, it is the evidence that your prayer is answered because as you live and walk out the instruction of the LORD by faith, you will experience your breakthrough.
Proverbs 4:13 NKJV says, "Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go; keep her for she is your life." When you look back, you realize that the instruction the LORD gave you was evidence that He had answered your prayer. These ten lepers did not see their healing when Jesus gave the Word, but He gave them an instruction. When their faith followed the instruction of the Lord Jesus, they received their healing. Sometimes, it is a demonstration of faith to move when the LORD tells you to regardless of your circumstances that may appear contrary to what you may be believing the LORD for at that particular moment.
In the Old testament - 2 Kings 5, is a story of a man called Naaman who was esteemed in his day at the time. Unfortunately, Naaman was leprous. One day, one of the servants tells of God's prophet in Israel that could heal him of his sickness (2 Kings 5:3). Naaman comes with riches and gifts to the prophet but the prophet rejected all of them because the healing that God provides cannot be bought with wealth and material possessions.
However, God's prophet, Elisha, simply gave Naaman an instruction and told him to go and wash seven times in the Jordan river. Naaman was offended at first that he had travelled so far only to be told to dip his body in a river but one his servants asked him, "...If the prophet had asked you to do something great would you not have done it...? (2 Kings 5:13). Eventually Naaman decided to dip his body seven times as instructed by the prophet and he was cleansed from all his leprosy.
Both Naaman and the ten lepers received their healing from the LORD God but we see their deliverance was brought forth when by faith, they followed the LORD's instruction given to them.
Ultimately, you follow the instruction not to get your healing but because you have been healed. You obey the LORD's instruction not to obtain promotion but because you have been promoted - AMEN!
I'll end with this Word found in 2 Timothy 2:13 (NKJV)
"If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself."
AMEN, THANK YOU LORD.
