Psalm 65:4-5 NKJV
"Blessed is the man You choose, and cause to approach You, that he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, of Your holy temple.
By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off seas;"
Amen, thank you LORD.
God is good. I believe that God would not need to say He is good if there was no need for this assurance in the lives of His children. The above Word is a reminder of the goodness of God and how He desires for His children to have knowledge of His goodness. God's goodness is bigger than your mistake.
I am humbled that creation looks in expectation and anticipation because it is confident in God's goodness. If creation can be anticipation of God's goodness, then how much more you child of God? Jesus in the gospel of Matthew 6:27-30 shared this understanding with us, that if God could clothe flowers and lillies in the valley that would soon be destroyed, how much more you? Jesus is encouraging God's people now just like He did then to not be caught in the worries of things but to meditate on the goodness of God, that surely if creation is confident of God's ability to take care of them, you His beloved child should share in this confidence as well.
Romans 8:32 NKJV reminds us, "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?" Friend God is good and when you received Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, you received all of God's goodness.
God does not give out bad gifts to His children because as a loving Father, He does not have them. James 1:17 NKJV says, "Every good and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." - AMEN.
Prayer: Father, we thank you that You are good and in You there is no unrighteousnsess. Thank you Father for your goodness that encircles us and surrounds every area of our lives including our understanding and the meditation of our hearts. Thank you Father that we are confident of Your goodness all the days of our lives as we continually align to Your plans and purposes concerning our lives in the name of Jesus. Thank you LORD for every good and perfect gift that You have blessed us with in love. Thank you Father that he who the Son sets free is free indeed in the name of Jesus, Amen.
I'll end with this Word in Matthew 7:11 (NKJV)
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"
Amen, thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: The above promise is for God's children who have made a confession and received Jesus as Lord and Saviour of their life. When you receive Him, you are forgiven, redeemed from spiritual death, whole, healthy, set apart, complete in Him and reconciled in relationship with God, the Father now until eternity. If this sounds like you:
Please make this confession;
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.
If you just said this prayer, congratulations - GLORY TO GOD, the LORD has redeemed you and you are born again- AMEN. In case you have not already, join a church community and get water baptized!
