God's vision

Praise the LORD God, the Possessor of heaven and earth. The Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,the One who is the same yesterday, today and forever. We give you all the glory and praise in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Hebrews 3:5 (NKJV)

"And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken afterward,"

Amen, thank you LORD.

Today's post is about seeing things with God's vision. One time I was reading my Bible and when I completed Deuteronomy, I was weeping that Moses did not make it to the promised land. For some reason that day, I could feel the pain of Moses seeing the promised land and him not entering it (Deuteronomy 34:4) because of unbelief (Numbers 20:12). That is, He did not heed to God's instruction when He told him to strike the rock once which would produce water for the children of Israel to drink.

In that moment, I could not remember the victories and mighty things that God had done through the hands of Moses because I was focussing on the one thing that he missed.

When you look at Hebrews 3:5, we clearly see that Moses was considered a faithful servant in God's house. No person as inspired by the Holy Spirit wrote otherwise in the New Testament. I believe this clearly shows Moses' one mistake did not invalidate or erase the mighty works of God with the stewardship and house that God entrusted him with concerning His people. So now that I look back at that moment, I was sad thinking Moses did not complete the assignment except in God's vision, he did because God does not see things the way man sees them. Apostle John also portrays his deep respect for Moses as the servant of God in Revelation 15:3.

The verses below written by Moses as well show us that Moses had God's vision concerning his faithfulness towards Him. Moses understood he was a man known and loved by God.

Deuteronomy 34:10-12 (NKJV)

10. "But since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,

11. in all signs and wonders which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before all his servants, and in all his land,

12. and by all that mighty power and all the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of all Israel."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for Your Word. We ask for a relationship with Your Word and greater dimensions of revelation and understanding of Your love for us. Help us Father to be faithful in all things and to live our lives according to Your vision because Your ways are higher and better than our ways in the name of Jesus. As always, may we both be hearers and doers of Your Word in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
