Father God, thank you for the gift of Jesus and for the abundant gift of grace that is found in Your beloved Jesus, we receive it and we ask that You open up the eyes of our understanding so that we can walk in the hope and glorious gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Yesterday's post was based on God's grace that not only saves but is also the power of God that keeps every believer who has been born of God. In the Bible, we see men and women who knew first hand what it meant to be kept by the sovereign power of God.
The apostles of the early church in the New Testament were not any different. In Acts 16:25-34, we see Silas and Paul who sang hymns at midnight praising God not so that they would experience a breakthrough but because the love and joy of God's kingdom on the inside of them cannot be physically confined in that prison cell. As they praised God, with the joy of bearing the name of Jesus, the power of heaven came and loosed every chain and opened the prison doors. The reality of heaven had to become manifest in the lives of these men of God because in heaven they are no prisoners. As a result, God's will in heaven became manifest on earth (Matthew 6:10) because these men of God understood the identity that God had given them in Christ Jesus. This identity was far greater and more precious than anything that they saw with their physical eyes let alone physical confinement. Grace is the embodiment of the finished works of Jesus Christ and when we praise God according to grace, the power of God is revealed.
Prayer: Father God, may we always remember to praise and worship You according to grace in the name of Jesus, Amen.
In 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 NKJV the Holy Spirit through Apostle Paul says, "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." Friend, what God has written about you and His promise concerning you is what holds true. If it is written in heaven concerning your life, I believe with all of my heart that it is yours to have and in John 3:27 NKJV, Jesus reminds us that, "a man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven." So your part is to understand God's Word and receive everything that God has for you.
On the other hand, when you look at your situation and it is contrary to what is written by God's Word, it is temporary and this is what Paul refers to as a light affliction because the Word and the eternal purposes that God has concerning you must come to pass in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
I'll end with this word found in 2 Corinthians 4:7 (NKJV)
"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: God in His expression of love towards man sent forth His One and Only Son in whom is the forgiveness of sin. In the blood of Christ, we are reconciled in relationship to God and have direct access to Him as our Father. If you would like to be born again and receive the gift of the abundant life which is found in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, please say this prayer below;
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.
PRAISE GOD, THE LORD HAS REDEEMED YOU!- Amen.
In case, you have received God's free gift of salvation, join a community of other believers and get water baptized.
