Praise be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who did not hold back in love when He sent His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and resurrect from the dead for the sin of the world.

In my previous post, I shared on the simplicity of the gospel of Christ, a simple and profound truth that has greatly transformed our lives by giving us a new identity as children of God. 1 John 3:1 (NKJV) reminds us, "Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God..." - Amen.

Today, we are reminded of the King of heaven and earth who entered Jerusalem on a donkey. He could have chosen more fancy means at the time like a horse or maybe camel but no, He came on a donkey that no one had sat on demonstrating its exclusivity (Luke 19:30) yet at the same time its simplicity. Sometimes I wonder if Jesus kept things simple because He did not want us to get lost in the detail of things and miss the main point which is God's love and redemption found through the precious blood of His Son, Christ.

Romans 10:13 NKJV tells us, "for whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." The people in the crowds rejoiced for the long awaited King who had finally appeared as spoken of by the previous prophets. Zechariah 9:9 AMP says, "Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your King (Messianic King) is coming to you; He is righteous and endowed with salvation, humble and unassuming [in submission to the will of the Father] riding on a donkey, upon a colt, the foal of a donkey."

Here, Christ was living among them and at this point prophecy was fulfilled. The people worshipped Him with their praises, they waved and laid down palm branches including laying down their clothes on the ground (Matthew 21:8) signifying their welcome for Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Though at the same time, they did not have the revelation and knowledge of God in Christ the same way you and I have today. Yet God has given us this special privilege, so we rejoice just like them if not more than they did for the gift of this blessing.

So how did you spend your Palm Sunday today? - Let me know in the comments below!

Personally, I attended church and we had an amazing worship service reminding each other of God's goodness reflected in Christ, the King. Amen. Glory to His holy name!

Invitation to salvation: Today, God's free gift of salvation is extended to you, where it is not something you have to earn because it has already been given to you. But you have to desire it and the first step of desiring a relationship with God is by calling on the name of the LORD and if this sounds like you; believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to die for your sin and say these words:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever. Thank you Father that because the Son has made me free, I am now free indeed." AMEN.

YOU ARE NOW A NEW CREATION & CHILD OF GOD - Glory to God. Please find a church and get water baptized!
