Jesus is the proof

Father God, we thank you that the entrance of Your Word brings light. May Your light shine forth in the lives of Your sons and daughters as they read and share the Word in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Today's lead Word is form Exodus 7:9 (NKJV)

"When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, "show a miracle for yourselves, then you shall say to Aaron, 'Take your rod and cast it before Pharaoh and let it become a serpent.'"

As we may see from this chapter and the upcoming chapters in the book of Exodus, Pharaoh's hardness of heart required Moses and Aaron to prove themselves and justify their reasons to leave Egypt.

As a child of God, it is important to remember that God will never require you as His child to prove yourself concerning anything because He is Your Maker who knows all things concerning your entire life.

Ephesians 1:6 reminds us that as children of God, "to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the beloved." God's love and grace for us through Christ, reminds us that we are already accepted and loved as His children. Friend, God's love and acceptance towards you is settled. However, the enemy may usually tempt you to prove yourself either through various situations or people.

In the New Testament, when Jesus Christ came on the scene, two of the temptations that Satan tempted Him with had to do with proving His identity as the Son of God. He asked Jesus to turn stones to bread (Luke 4:3) and to also jump from a high building because the Scripture says that the angels would catch him (Luke 4:9-11). Of course, the Christ did not yield to any of the temptations of the evil one.

Friend, in the Kingdom of God, Jesus Christ is the only proof that we have. On that note, resist the temptation and the pressure to prove yourself to anyone especially concerning your faith. Interestingly, after Jesus Christ left the wilderness, the temptation to prove Himself again presented itself through the religious leaders and some of the people who demanded a sign from Him that He was the Son of God (Matthew 16:1) but thankfully He had already passed this test in the wilderness.

I'll end with this Word found in Hebrews 8:10-12 (NKJV)

10."For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put my laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.

11."None of them shall teach his neighbor, and none his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' for all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them.

12."For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know God in a personal and more intimate way as your loving Father, not simply God. I invite you to believe with your heart and confess with your mouth the words below;

"I believe with my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to die for my sins. Today, I receive Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of my life who has delivered me from every power of darkness into the Kingdom of God's love. I am now a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am free and whole. My past trespasses and all my sins are forgiven by my Father God. And every disease and iniquity is healed by Jesus' stripes. AMEN."

If you just said this prayer, glory to God you are redeemed. Please become a member of church community and get water baptized!
