John, chapter 10

A blessed Sunday family! Father God, thank you that this is the day that You have made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it in the name of Jesus, Amen.

John 10:1-5 (NKJV)

  1. "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber

  2. But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.

  3. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.

  4. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him for they know his voice.

  5. Yet they will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him, for they do not know the voice of strangers."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Your relationship with God is so personal, intimate and extremely precious to God that He calls you by name. He draws our hearts to His heart through His Son and our Shepherd, the Great Shepherd Jesus. As sheep, you have been personally selected by God to follow the Shepherd. Jesus says in John 6:65 (NKJV), "Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father." I want you to consider for a moment that God chose you before you thought to choose Him. Jesus says, His sheep know His voice and the voice of a stranger they will not follow (John 10:4-5). The love of God in Christ Jesus has built you to know Him just like a weaning child will always know the voice or the presence of their parents especially their mother. Despite that child not yet learning how to speak, there is something that is built in that child to know their parents voice and that is your relationship with God. As Shepherd, Jesus leads and walks with you as He leads you on paths that He has always prepared for you (Ephesians 2:10) by His grace. Following Jesus is how you participate with the Lord on your journey of salvation. This may sometimes make you feel like You have a role to play but it is important to remember by God's grace that we are saved and every work of service there is to do, it is because Jesus has already gone before you and made all things ready for you.

I'll end with this Word found in Psalm 23 (NKJV)

  1. "The LORD is my Shepherd; I shall not want.

  2. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters.

  3. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

  4. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and your staff comfort me.

  5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.

  6. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to receive Jesus and be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get WATER BAPTIZED!

If you have not already, I encourage you to read chapters 1-10 of John's Gospel! GOD BLESS YOU
