Father, thank you for the gift of a new day. Thank you for the gift of Jesus and because of Jesus, there is hope for Your children and for the world. May we continually abide in this hope and keep us in Your love in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
1 John 5:18 (AMP)
"We know [with confidence] that anyone born of God does not habitually sin; but He (Jesus) who was born of God [carefully] keeps and protects him, and the evil one does not touch him."
Amen, thank you LORD.
This verse is packed with a lot of the LORD's goodness. First of all, it says that everyone who is born of God does not make a practice of sinning because the power of the God through the Holy Spirit enables them to not sin. This is the beauty about salvation that God will not only save you by His grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8) but He will also empower you with the divine protection, ability and resources that are needed for your journey of salvation and His call upon your life.
So as a child of God, what would be the most important thing to do? - It is yielding to the working of God that is in you through His Son, Jesus Christ. Luke 17:21 reminds us that the Kingdom of God is within you and it suffers violence and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12). I believe the LORD was not encouraging His children to fight or get violent on His behalf because you have also been given all things that pertain to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). I believe the violence the LORD is referring to here is pressing into God's Kingdom through a hunger and thirst for His Word and His righteousness. Jesus in one of His messages to the church which also represents you and I says, "But hold fast what you have till I come." (Revelation 2:25).
I'll end with this Word found in Matthew 5:6 (AMP)
"Blessed [joyful, nourished by God's goodness] are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness [those who actively seek right standing with God], for they will be [completely] satisfied."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: As God's precious one, if you would like to know and experience this love of God that cleanses you and makes you whole,
I invite you to make this confession, "I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour today and forever." AMEN!
Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17). To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
