Light of the world

Father God, we thank you for Your Beloved, Jesus whom you sent into the world as a light to shine in every dark place in the name of Jesus. Thank you Abba for the Light shines and the darkness did not comprehend it, Amen.

Today's Word is from 2 Corinthians 5:19 (NKJV)

"that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Today's verse is highlighting God's love towards you. When God sent His Son, Jesus it was a perfect plan that is, God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them (2 Corinthians 5:19) and it is still happening today for everyone who receives salvation. I'm amazed that God can speak a word, do one thing and that is powerful enough to give life and outlive thousands of generations. For instance, God created the world in 6 days, and He rested on the 7th day. God has never returned to re create the world, not even after Noah's flood. This is how powerful God's Word is.

Isaiah 40:8-9 (NKJV) says, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever. O Zion you who bring good tidings, get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, you who bring good tidings, lift up your voice with strength, lift it up, be not afraid; say to the cities of Judah, "Behold your God!""

This is a reminder to trust and believe in the integrity of God's Word especially where it concerns your well-being. In Matthew 5:14 NKJV "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden." When you receive salvation, Jesus gives you His light which makes you a light of the world, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden.

1 John 1:6-7 AMP continues to remind us, "If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness [of sin], we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we [really] walk in the Light [that is, live each and every day in conformity with the precepts of God], as He Himself is in the Light, we have [true, unbroken] fellowship with one another [He with us, and we with Him], and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin [by erasing the stain of sin, keeping us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations]."

Yesterday, I shared on obeying and serving God as a born again child of God. Now this may sound like a lot of pressure but 2 Corinthians 3:5 NKJV reminds us that, "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God, who made us sufficient as ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life." As result, God will always supply you the sufficiency that is required for your calling and purpose because it is His sufficiency and grace at work in your life, not yours.

Now does this mean that if you get born again today, you start walking in your calling and purpose tomorrow? The simple answer is no. Just like it is in school, it is usually recommended you study before writing an exam. In God's kingdom God's grace will always be available for by grace we are saved through faith (Ephesians 2:8).

At the same time, the grace of God that is freely given to His sons and daughters operates really well when combined with knowledge and wisdom. The knowledge and wisdom I'm referring to here is obtained from God's Word and the blessing of good teaching from God's ministers.

In the gospel of Mark 6:2, Jesus was teaching in the synagogue on the Sabbath. "...And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands!" The wisdom on Jesus' life enabled Him to perform the Father's works of miracles, signs and wonders. As God calls you, He also equips and prepares you for the assignment. This begins with giving yourself room to grow in the wisdom and knowledge that is found in the Word of God. Jesus did the same as well as He increased in stature and in favor and wisdom both with God and man (Luke 2:52). As you grow in God's wisdom and knowledge, you will in turn be preparing your heart as well to willingly walk in obedience to God's purpose concerning your life at the appointed time.

After Jesus' resurrection, He tells His disciples at God's appointed time in John 20:21 (NKJV), "Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." - AMEN.

Let's pray together for the spirit of wisdom and revelation as guided by Apostle Paul found in Ephesians 1:15-23 (NKJV)

"16.Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:

17.that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

18.the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

19and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power

20.which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

21.far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.

22.And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,

23.Which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all."

AMEN, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know this God who from the beginning of creation has always wanted you to be reunited and restored in relationship with Him through His One and Only Son Jesus Christ - whose faithful promises are yes and amen, I invite you to make this confession, "I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour today and forever."

Congratulations, by grace you are saved and are now a new creation in Christ Jesus. The old life has passed away and you have received the free gift of salvation into your life (2 Corinthians 5:17). To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen.
