Love & goodness

In the gospel of Mark, a man approached Jesus and referred to him as good teacher and in Mark 10:18 NLT, Jesus responded "Why do you call me good? Jesus asked. Only God is truly good." We see that God's goodness remains true just like His love. Matthew 5:45 says, God sends rain on the unjust and the just because they are both people He created in love.
Later on, we also see Jesus comparing God's love to a parents love. Matthew 7:11 NKJV, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" Jesus is higlighting to us an important point here concerning our human goodness and God's goodness. At the end of the day, God's goodness will always outlive and surpass even the most loving parents goodness. God's love and goodness is not there to condemn, but to lead and guide us to His eternal love found in His Son, Christ. When God sent His Son Jesus, He made sure that everyone who would receive Him would be set free from sin, iniquity and disease. 1 Peter 2:24 NKJV says, "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed." This reminds us that in God's goodness, Jesus bore all your sins just like He bore all your diseases at the same time when He crucified on the cross.
Healing and forgiveness of sins is an example of the blessing of the blessings you have been given in Christ but there is so much more goodness and love in God as a Father.
1 Corinthians 2:9 says it best, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." - AMEN!
I'll end with this Word found in 1 John 5:20 (NKJV)
"And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know God in a personal and more intimate way as your loving Father, not simply God. I invite you to believe with your heart and confess with your mouth the words below;
"I believe with my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to die for my sins. Today, I receive Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of my life who has delivered me from every power of darkness into the Kingdom of God's love. I am now a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am free and whole. My past trespasses and all my sins are forgiven by my Father God. And every disease and iniquity is healed by Jesus' stripes. AMEN."
If you just said this prayer, glory to God you are redeemed. Please become a member of church community and get water baptized!
