Love & humility

Father God, thank you for all that You have been, for all that You are and will ever be to your sons and daughters. Thank you for Love, thank you for Your integrity, thank you for Your truth, thank you for Your mercy, thank you for Your grace, thank you for Your wisdom, thank you for Your peace, thank you for Your loving kindness, thank you for Your goodness and faithfulness, thank you for The Word. Thank you for You in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Today's lead Word is from John 3:16 -17 (NKJV)

16."For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."

17.For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

Amen, thank you LORD.

The beloved Son, Jesus, who came to save the world is the representation of God's love and humility.

Jesus embodied love and humility so that you and I could be saved. The Son of God, the One in whom all things exist, John 1:3 says nothing was created without Jesus and yet God in His infinite wisdom chose a couple from a humble background with Mary who birthed and raised the Savior of the world. Luke 2:7 tells us the Savior of the world was born in a manger because there was no space in the guest rooms for Mary to have the Child. Just for context, a simple definition of manger is an animal feeding trough. The Savior of the world was born in such simplicity, in a humble background and yet powerful.

Isaiah 53:3-4 NKJV continues to share with us some of Jesus' human experiences and it says, "He is despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted." Jesus was rejected, despised, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. All this heaviness did not belong to Jesus but He willingly took it on because He did not want you to bear it. Christ in Him carried every burden, rejection, sorrow, grief so that you do not have to carry it. Isaiah 53:5 NKJV continues to say, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed." Jesus was afflicted to the point the people He came to save thought He probably needed God's help more than they did. Yet on that cross, He died for their sins as much as He died for your sins as well. He bore every transgression, and iniquity, and every sin and disease on that cross so that you would walk free, healed, whole and delivered. 3 John 2 shares the same sentiment and says, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers." - AMEN!

When the people were falsely accusing Jesus, Isaiah 53:7 NKJV says, "He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth."

I want you to consider for a moment, the creation that Jesus made, the people who rejected and despised Him did not change Jesus' mind when it came to willing giving His life according to the will of the Father in order for the world would to be saved through His death, burial and resurrection.

Jesus in His Majesty as God could have called all the armies of heaven to His rescue but no. He made another choice. Jesus chose love and humility because it was more important to spend eternity with you and I. Even better, Jesus also died for the people who crucified and nailed Him to the cross. I'm not sure what wrong you may have done, but I'm here to remind you that God's love has no exceptions. In Christ Jesus, all your wrongs have been covered and washed in His precious blood.

Philippians 2:5-6 NKJV "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God."

Jesus' coming in the form of man did not make Him less God. This is the reason He was viewed by the religious leaders in Matthew 11:19 (NKJV) as "...a glutton and wine bibber, a friend of tax collectors and sinners..." because Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it.

I'll end with this Word found in John 17:3 (NKJV)

"And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know God's eternal love expressed in the humility of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ. I invite you to believe with your heart and confess with your mouth the words below;

"I believe with my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to die for my sins. Today, I receive Jesus as the Lord and Saviour of my life who has delivered me from every power of darkness into the Kingdom of God's love. I am now a new creation in Christ Jesus. I am clean where my past trespasses and all my sins are forgiven by my Father God. AMEN."
