No condemnation

Thank you Father for this is the day that You have made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. Thank you Abba for Your love, thank you for Jesus, thank you for salvation and thank you for the precious gift of the Holy Spirit. We ask that You continue to keep us in Your love in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

Romans 8:1 (AMP)

"THEREFORE THERE is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]."

Amen, thank you LORD.

The above verse shows us that there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Does this mean that God condemns you before you give your life to Christ? - God is love (1 John 4:8) and cannot be the author of condemnation as well. I believe Genesis chapter 3, captures this truth well. When the enemy through the serpent came to tempt Eve who was deceived and later gave Adam the fruit to eat, their disobedience led to sin which later caused a separation between man and God. This separation was never a part of God's original plan when He formed man.

However, when all this was taking place, as illustrated in Genesis chapter 3, at no point did God condemn man. God told man the results of disobedience which were the curses that were given to the woman, Adam and the enemy (Genesis 3:14-19). Thankfully, when one becomes born again, these curses have been removed as Galatians 3:13 also reminds us that Christ bore all of our curses and says, "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree")  - Amen, thank you LORD for redeeming us from every sin and curse in the name of Jesus.

After Adam and Eve departed from God's presence in the garden of Eden, sin re surfaced among Adam's children when Cain killed his brother out of jealousy (Genesis 4:8) and again, at no point did God condemn Cain. When God told him the ground would be cursed as a result of his sin, Cain asked God to re consider the nature of the punishment that He had given to him (Genesis 4:14-15).

When you look at the conventional meaning of the word condemn, Miriam Webster dictionary defines it as declaring something wrong, reprehensible or evil. When the LORD God was done creating the world including forming mankind, He looked at everything He did and it was very good (Genesis 1:31 NKJV). Not just parts of it, everything God created was very good.

So what does this mean? - Condemnation originates from the enemy.

For God to condemn the creation He made would be for Him to go against His Word and everything God does is beautiful. The enemy introduced sin and with it brought condemnation which happens when he leads one to sin. James 1:13-14 reminds us, "Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed."

In a way, sin is the enemy's mockery to God's creation. It's almost like he says to God and accuses man, 'look at the creation you made, if it is very good then why do they sin?'

Jesus in John 3:17 shares God's heart and says, "For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved."

God in His love sent His Son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world where spiritual death that caused separation between man and God would come to an end. Jesus' death, burial and resurrection permanently silenced every accusation and condemnation of the enemy against every born again child of God. Jesus is God's response to the enemy's mockery against His people.

When God sent Jesus, He not only gave mankind His best and most precious Son. God, the Father was also saying to the enemy, the sin you put on man I formed and created in love, I will take it away from them by putting it on My Son without condemning them. All this was for our benefit and it happened all free of charge so that every accusation and condemnation of the enemy is rendered powerless over every child of God because everything God created is 'very good.' This is keeping in mind that man that was made in God's image (Genesis 1:26).

At the same time, if condemnation, does come to a person, it is because that person loved the darkness of the enemy rather than the light of God's Kingdom (John 3:19).

On the other hand, Jesus also cautions that there will be eternal condemnation for anyone who blasphemes the Holy Spirit (Mark 4:29).

I'll end with this word found in 1 John 3:14 (NKJV)

"And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life."
