Personal relationship

Praise God family. We thank the LORD for this is the day that He has made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. Jesus prayed in John 17:15 and said, "I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one." We thank you Father that this Word is so in the lives of your sons and daughters in the name of Jesus, amen. Thank you LORD.

Today's Word comes from:

Hebrews 2:15 (NKJV)

"And release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage."

1 John 4:18 (NKJV)

"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love."

Amen, thank you LORD.

When we read these verses together, one can safely conclude that fear is not of God because God is love and His love for us is knowledge based. This knowledge is found in His Son, Jesus. When you receive Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, by becoming born again, you are receiving and partaking of God's love for you. When you receive His love for you, this is the beginning of a personal relationship where God becomes your Father. In the Father's love, there is no death but only life. Jesus in John 14:6 (NKJV) says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

In the new covenant, personal relationship with God, as Father is the heart of salvation and a source of healing as well. This restoration in personal relationship is not based on our actions or works but on what Christ has done for us through his death, burial and resurrection. This is the reason worshipping God, reading the Word, prayer, attending church and serving, etc are not things you do to get close to God but rather they are acts of fellowship and communion where you give adoration to the One who has loved you with an everlasting love. These acts of fellowship and communion with Father God are made possible with the help of the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:14 says, "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God."

As you yield to the Holy Spirit, you grow into God's love which makes you appreciate God's grace that has freely given you eternal life, shown you mercy for sins and wrongs you may feel you do not deserve. 1 John 4:19 (NKJV) continues to say, "We love Him because He first loved us."

I'll end with this Word found in 2 Corinthians 5:21 (AMP)

"He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness]. "

I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
