Thank you Father for this is the day that You have made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. Thank you Father for this is the day of the LORD goodness and righteousness, the day of the LORD's salvation, favor, lovingkindness, mercy, joy, redemption, peace and good will towards all men and women in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Luke 3:22 (NKJV)

"And the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased."

Amen, thank you LORD.

God told Jesus He was His beloved Son in whom He was well pleased with before He performed any miracle or died on the cross for the sins of the world. When God looks at you, He shares the same sentiment as well. You are His beloved in whom He is well pleased with. God's love for you is not based on your good or bad actions, He simply loves you because love is who God is and He can't help but love you.

Jesus also portrays to us a dimension of what it means to be loved by God, the Father. As One who had received the Father's love, He was able to do the will and the works of the Father God not to earn God's approval but because He was loved and approved by God. God's love for Jesus did not exempt Him from trials, if anything it qualified Him for trials and to die for the sins of the world. Despite the pain of enduring death, Jesus knew He was in His loving Father's arms and victory was guaranteed. Before Jesus' crucifixion, He prayed, "...Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me, nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done. Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling to the ground." Luke 22:42-44 (NKJV)

As a child of God, just like Jesus, they are blessings and callings that God has specifically prepared for you. Luke 1:73-75 (NKJV) says, "The oath which He swore to our father Abraham: to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life."

The above verses remind us that there is purpose in God's salvation which is to serve God. In case you are wondering, how do I know this purpose? The most important thing is cultivating a personal relationship with God. This is because a personal relationship with God in Christ that is built on His love informs your purpose in God, not your personal merits or qualifications. God, through the Holy Spirit is the only Person with the power to qualify you for what He has called and prepared for you. Ephesians 2:10 says, "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has prepared beforehand that we should should walk in them."

Another way to knowing your purpose is faithfully serving and bearing fruit wherever God has planted you. For example, in your home, workplace, business, church, hospital, ministry, etc. Jesus in Luke 16:12 (NKJV) asked the people, "And if you have not been faithful in what is another man's, who will give you what is your own?"

For example, Joseph had a big God ordained calling on his life but he did not wait to become second in command to Pharaoh (Genesis 41:40-41) so that he would step into that destiny and then walk in his purpose. Joseph's heart to serve God started way before he became ruler in Egypt. He was faithful as a servant in Potiphar's house (Genesis 39:3), Joseph was faithfully serving as a warden (Genesis 41:12) while imprisoned for a crime he did not do. God used what looked like delay to refine and mature Joseph's character into His heart. At the appointed time, God used Joseph's faithfulness to order his steps into his God ordained calling.

Jesus said in John 15:4 (NKJV)

"Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to receive Jesus and be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

GLORY TO GOD, You are now a new creation in Christ Jesus! In case you have not already, please prayerfully consider becoming a member of a church and get WATER BAPTIZED!
