Father God, we thank you for this is the day that You have made and we shall be glad and rejoice in it. We receive all that You have prepared for us this morning in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Mark 6:34 (NKJV)
"And Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude and was moved with compassion for them, because they were like sheep not having a shepherd. So He began to teach them many things."
Amen, thank you LORD.
When Jesus saw the multitude, He felt compassion for them. As a result of this compassion, He taught them many things about God's Kingdom. Is it not funny, that they may have had different motives for following Jesus, but when Jesus saw all of them, He saw one need which is sharing the gospel with them. Friend, sometimes what you think you need may not be the solution to your problem but the above text shows us that Christ has the answer to all of life's problems. In Acts 3:1-8, the Apostles Peter and Paul are walking to the temple and they see this lame man begging alms. He thought a lack of money was his greatest need but the apostles were able to discern that healing and knowing Jesus was this man's greatest need, not money. So in the name of Jesus, Peter commanded the lame man to stand up and walk (Acts 3:6-7).
At the same time, this does not mean that Jesus was only concerned with the spiritual needs of the people because later on, we see Him meeting their physical needs as well by feeding the multitudes with fish and bread to their filling. Mark 6:42 (NKJV) says, "So they all ate and were filled." But if all Jesus gave the people was food, He would have sold the people short.
In conclusion, I believe the above lead Scripture is reminding us that the spiritual will have a ripple effect in the natural. Sometimes, what one may consider a challenge may not be or it ceases to be a challenge when presented with the understanding of the knowledge of God that is found in Christ.
Jesus in John 6:35 says, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst." - AMEN.
I'll end with these Scriptures found in:
2 Peter 3:18 (NKJV)
"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.
John 8:31-32 (NKJV)
"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.
And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
Amen, thank you LORD.
Invitation to salvation: On that note, if you would like to be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
