The Faithful one

We lift up our praises to you LORD God, the Ancient of Days, the Beginning and the End, the Alpha and the Omega, the Righteousness Judge, the Lover of our souls, the Faithful High Priest, the Root of Jesse, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the LORD of Hosts, we say open up ancient gates, open up ancient doors and let the King of glory come in. Who is the King of glory, the LORD strong and mighty, the LORD invincible in battle, open up ancient gates, open up ancient doors and let the King of glory come in. Who is the King of glory? The LORD of Heaven's Armies, He is the King of glory. Amen.

Genesis 1:26 reminds us that when God created man, He created Him in His image and likeness. One of God's nature is faithful that is, God can be trusted to be the same and to do what He says He will do. Today's post is a reminder that you too are faithful as one who has been created in God's image. When the enemy introduced sin in mankind through Adam and Eve, he corrupted man's nature through disobedience. Thank God for salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is also known as the Second Adam. When you become born again and receive Jesus into your life, by faith all that Jesus is, you are. The first Adam disobeyed which God but the second Adam obeyed God and because Jesus obeyed God, you have His DNA in you and are also able to obey God which makes you the faithful one. In Genesis chapter 6, we see the faithfulness of a man called Noah. Noah was a man whose ways pleased the LORD and he found grace before God as seen in Genesis 6:8. When God instructed him to build an ark that met certain specifications that would house his family, the birds and animals all in preparation for a flood, Noah obeyed God regardless of how long it took for him to build that ark. One may also conclude that Noah was empowered by the grace of God to fulfill this assignment. An example of God's grace at work is with the animals and birds that were supposed to be in the ark. Noah did not go out looking for the animals but rather God sent them to him. The LORD in Genesis 6:20 says to Noah, "Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive."

In case you are wondering, God's grace was available to the people in the book of Genesis because the law had not yet been introduced by God through Moses.

Friend, consider how much more grace is available to you to be faithful and obedient to the commands/instructions of God's Word as a born again child of God, enabled and empowered by the Spirit of God to accomplish every task at hand.

After you receive salvation, with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your life, you are officially a part of a genealogy of faithful men both spiritually and biologically that starts with Christ all the way down to Seth, Adam's son (Luke 3:23-38). The genealogy in the gospel of Luke paints a vivid picture of how Jesus, the last Adam redeemed the sin of the first Adam. Consequently, we see God's heart revealed in those who obey His commands.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for salvation. Thank you for grace that is found in Christ and by the power of the Spirit of God, I am faithful and obedient to God's instruction and commandments. I choose to keep my eyes focussed on Jesus Christ, the author and finisher of my faith and indeed I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.

I'll end with this Word found in Joel 2:2 (NKJV)

"A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, like the morning clouds spread over the mountains. A people come, great and strong, the like of whom has never been; nor will there ever be any such after them, even for many successive generations."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know God as Your Father where you become His child and restored into fellowship with Him through a personal relationship with His One and Beloved Son, Jesus where your sins are forgiven - I invite you to say this confession:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

Congratulations, YOU'VE BEEN REDEEMED by the precious blood of Jesus. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen. In case you do not already, please join a church community and get water baptized!
