Father God, thank you for the Word. We ask that You provide us with understanding as the Word goes forth in the name of Jesus, Amen. Thank you LORD.
Matthew 15:8-9NKJV
"These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.
And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men."
A true seeker of God is one who seeks God with their heart. The LORD reminds us in Jeremiah 29:13 that if you seek Him with all of your heart, you will find Him. God is a heart God and the way to seek and know Him is through seeking Him with the authenticity of your heart as well. In Matthew 7:7-11, Jesus encourages us to keep asking, seeking and knocking and the door will be opened. Jesus Christ is the door (John 10:9) so when He says everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, it will be opened (Matthew 7:8). Jesus is reminding us that God, the Father has good gifts for His children.
One of the greatest gifts God has given to us is the gift of salvation. Salvation is one of the surest ways to know God's heart. The God seeker seeks to know God and receive His love found in Christ not only for what God has to give them but for knowing who God is by communing and building relationship with Him. This aspect may sometimes apply to one's service towards God. I've observed that if God, the Father had to pick between building an intimate relationship with you as His child and serving Him, He would choose relationship with Him.
The LORD in Isaiah 55:1-2 (NKJV) says, "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance." I believe reading God's Word is one of the best ways to seek and know God's heart.
Invitation to salvation: If you would like to know God as Your Father where you become His child and restored into fellowship with Him through a personal relationship with His One and Beloved Son, Jesus where your sins are forgiven - I invite you to say this confession:
"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.
Congratulations, YOU'VE BEEN REDEEMED by the precious blood of Jesus. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen. In case you do not already, please join a church community and get water baptized!
