The Lamp and the Word

Praise be to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has given us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places because we are united with Christ Jesus, Amen.

Proverbs 20:27 (NKJV)

"The spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all the inner depths of his heart."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Often times, its easy to have a few questions concerning a certain aspect of your life. Maybe you wish you could grow in love, forgiveness, prayer, faith, finances, etc. Whatever it is, I bring you good news that the answer you are searching for is found in your Bible. The above verse tells us that the spirit of a man is the lamp of the LORD. Psalm 119:105 says, "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." So let's try replace lamp with Word in the above sentence. It would read, 'the spirit of a man is the Word of the LORD, searching all the inner depths of his heart.'

The Word of God is the lamp that searches the inner depths of a man's heart. Hebrews 4:12 confirms this and says, "For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

The importance of reading, studying and meditating on God's Word in the life of a believer cannot be overstated especially if you desire to grow in your faith journey with Christ. The Word of God is the power that unveils all that God has for you, transforming you into the image of Christ and moving you from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18) - AMEN.

I'll end with this Word found in Revelation 19:13 (NKJV)

"He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God."

Amen, thank you LORD.
