The way of life

Proverbs 15:24 (NKJV)

"The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from hell below."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Today's lead Scripture reminds us that the way of life winds upward for the wise and true wisdom is found in personal relationship with God's Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the power and wisdom of God (1 Corinthians 1:24).

So we find that true wisdom is found in Christ and the above Scripture tells us that the way of life moves upward for the wise turning him from hell below. God's heart has never been for any of His children to perish. Proverbs 12:28 reminds us that "in the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death." Furthermore, John 10:10 shares the same sentiment that says, Jesus comes that we may have life and have it in abundance unlike the thief that came to steal, to kill and to destroy. Thankfully, God in His infinite wisdom and love ensures to keep His children away from the hands of the enemy. Before Jesus' physical departure from earth, He prayed to God, the Father and asked Him to protect all who would ever believe in Him from the evil one (John 17:15). Since Jesus has gone ahead of us, then we can be rest assured that we are safe because His leadership as the Good Shepherd turns us away from hell and destruction.

At the same time, Jesus has also made it clear that the way of life is a narrow path. Jesus says in Luke 13:24, "Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able."

The narrow path means as a child of God, liberty and freedom has been given to you in Christ while at the same time, how you use this freedom is important because with great freedom comes great responsibility. This great responsibility may translate to knowing your boundaries in the LORD and walking in obedience to them. Apostle Paul put it best, "all things are lawful for me, but not all things are helpful; all things are lawful for me, but not all things edify." (1 Corinthians 10:23).

I'll end with this Word found in Psalm 92:15 (NKJV)

  1. "To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him."

Amen, thank you LORD.

Invitation to salvation: If you would like to be born again into God's Kingdom, that is saved and have a personal relationship with God as Your Father and you as His child by receiving His Son, Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, I invite you to say this confession with me:

"I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that; Jesus Christ, the Son of God came in a human body to die for my sins so that I could have a new life where I am dead to sin and alive to God. I repent of my past sins and enter the Kingdom of light where I choose relationship with Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour and with God as my loving Father today and forever." AMEN.

Congratulations, YOU'VE BEEN REDEEMED by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. To the glory of the Almighty God. Amen. In case you do not already, please join a church community and get water baptized!
